Upload, download, upgrade, downgrade, input, output, nanosecond, gigabyte are words that are more commonly used than the ‘structure words’ that make up the English language. And I don’t have a problem with it, alright?
Well, what I’m trying to say is that with the advent of technology, its jargon has slowly made its way into our daily lives. There’s not a day when I can actually do without a computer or an internet connection. It has shifted from merely being a luxury to a need. Not only that, the language that we use has changed too, to keep up with these so-called technological changes.
Thanks to the million dollar geek-boy, Bill Gates and the slickest gentleman of the Silicon Valley, Steve Jobs, we now have a word that was commonly used as a term in manual labor prefixed with these meaningless prepositions to help us differentiate between ‘sending’ and ‘receiving’ a ‘virtual’ file.
Yes… it’s as simple as that!
Even at business meetings, we hear these emotionless words pointlessly sprayed all over the place while I take a nice little ‘siesta’ during the part when they shut the lights for the big power point presentation. And of course, join in the encore after the 45-minute yammering has been drilled into our skulls, for no rhyme or reason. And this is why I don’t work anymore with these corporate swine or these pussy-boy software designers, as I used to before because I’ve gotten tired of these techno-dicks and these jargon-mongering monkeys. And choose to be technically challenged… like that’s something that I have to spend many tormented sleepless nights over.
Although, I can afford to avoid being one of these techno-junkies, musicians who ca use the powerful tool of the Internet to draw publicity for their music. Much like me, I guess they’ve seen too many of these types who have computer-based devices crammed up every available body cavity these days. And even though, I’d prefer two tins cans that are joined together by a single thread to communicate with another at the end of the other line, I have to buy a cell phone. It’s considered being technologically savvy and all that jazz. And I guess, musicians who are smart should use the internet to take good news of their music to foreign lands that hold promise and the key to great wealth and so on and so forth. Just slow down on the jargon, though… or you’ll begin to feel a certain ‘spineless’ state. OK, that’s enough for today but seriously…
Alterhit provides that opportunity for bands or solo artists to showcase their music over the internet, to provide them with an online platform to reach a larger base of music patrons than they will be able to reach physically.
So, do you want to upload your music now? And join us in the New Millenium?
I'm sure you are.
And while you’re at it, I’m looking for a trauma therapist.

Alterhit lets artists upload music for the public to listen to and buy. The public can take part in the sale of music by setting up a shop selling music downloads.
